SIZE GUIDE

Find the perfect paddle weight, shape, and grip thickness to maximize comfort and court performance.

Understanding Paddle Weights

A paddle's weight is the single most important factor in determining maneuverability, hand-speed at the net, and general power generation.

Lite Weight (7.0 – 7.4 oz)

Ideal for quick net hands, rapid kitchen counters, and reducing elbow strain. Perfect for control-oriented players.

Mid Weight (7.5 – 7.9 oz)

The industry standard. Offers the perfect blend of power on drives and touch on third-shot drops. Fits all play styles.

Heavy Weight (8.0+ oz)

Built for pure baseline power, deep drives, and aggressive counters. Best suited for high-level single-handed players.

Core Thickness: 14mm vs. 16mm

Core thickness directly regulates the paddle's stiffness and response.

  • 14mm Core: Stiffer and more responsive. Provides high energy transfer for explosive power drives and hard overhead smashes. Ideal for aggressive baseliners.
  • 16mm Core: Thickest, softest core. Absorbs energy upon impact, providing a massive sweet spot, exceptional cushioning, and maximum control on dinks and block resets. Recommended for doubles play.

Choosing Grip Size & Length

Correct grip setup protects you from wrist injuries and unlocks different shot types:

  • Standard Grip Circumference (4.25"): Fits most players. It offers standard cushioning. If in doubt, choose this circumference and customize it using VEXORA overgrips.
  • Long Handle (5.5" Length): Gives ample space for double-handed backhands. It also creates a longer lever for extra whip and top spin.
  • Short Handle (5.0" Length): Places your hand closer to the paddle face, maximizing touch and quickness in fast net exchanges.
